An easy-to-use system of diamond grinding heads for stained glass diamond routers. Increases the speed and ease of using diamond grinding heads (bits). Individually more economical — lowering the cost of owning a complete selection of bits. Substitutes for standard grinding heads such as the Inland WB-1, WB-9, WB-18. etc. DropOn Bits require no wrenches or tools to change from one bit to another.
2-part system consists of a DropOn diamond bit or “sleeve” which fits on a DropOn Bit Adapter. Each sleeve is manufactured with a tiny “keybar” on the inner diameter which fits into a “keyway” groove on the outer diameter of the adapter. The two parts interlock while the grinder motor is on, but are easily separated when the motor is turned off. The DropOn System grinds as smoothly as conventional grinding bits.
The Adapter can be adjusted up and down on the motor shaft as the sleeve wears. The sleeve can be flipped over to provide even more adjusting as it wears. The DropOn Bit and conventional diamond grinding bits have equivalent amounts of diamond particles. The DropOn Bits fit all brands of grinders made today and most previous models (except the Glastar Starlet). |
