Plating, popularized by Louis Comfort Tiffany, is the powerful technique of using multiple layers of glass to achieve shadows, depth, texture, and rich colorations not possible with single-layer glass windows. When you apply your glass working skills to building a plated glass window, you may never again be satisfied with ordinary patterns and one-dimension projects.
Until the introduction of this remarkable series of plated windows, patterns have not been available for plating.
