The Inland FumeTrap provides a safer soldering environment by drawing fumes away from the person soldering and traps them in a disposable activated carbon filter.

Key Features:

A 110 CFM, axial type fan provides maximum fume intake up to 12-14" away. CFM is Cubic Feet Per Minute and measures the volume of air replaced each minute by the fan.
The disposable activated carbon filter cartridge "snaps" into the rear of the housing and is easy to install or remove. Replacement filters are sold three to a pack. There is no time interval recommended for replacement of the filter since usage of the unit will vary. Indications that replacement is necessary is a visible blockage of the filter when holding the cartridge up to the light and it feels tacky or sticky to the touch.
A top mounted handle and four non skid rubber feet make it very portable.
The fixed front grill protects the user from the fan without restricting air flow.
A 6 ft power cord provides plenty of reach. An in-line on/off switch makes it easy to operate.

Product Uses:

Anyone aware of the need for a safer environment when soldering is an excellent customer for a FumeTrap.
All hobbyists that solder, glue, and paint should use a ventilation system that evacuates or collects and holds fumes, not re-circulating them as a simple blower fan would. The most effective system is one that filters and vents to the outside. (Before venting anything to the outside, check with your local government for emissions regulations.) Since most artists and hobbyists can't install such a system, the FumeTrap fills the need by removing and adsorbing the fumes and vapors created during these processes. Most fluxes generate organic and inorganic gases and vapors which we don't think about, but are also harmful with prolonged exposure.
The FumeTrap provides an economic means of removing the fumes and vapors created when soldering stained glass. It's lightweight enough to place right on the project being soldered with soft rubber feet to protect the surface.
Equipping classrooms with FumeTrap's is an effective way to demonstrate the product and improve safety awareness.
