Odyssey Z Lamp Bases: The name Tiffany has been so closely identified with leaded glass lamps that we often overlook the fact that there were dozens of other lesser-known manufacturers also producing Tiffany-style lamps in the early twentieth century. Companies like Handel, Bradley & Hubbard, Wilkinson, and Whaley may have made lamps for a more modest market, but their design and artistry sometimes rivaled Tiffany. These "lesser" companies made many of their lamp bases out of inexpensive zinc-based white metal (spelter), which they often finished in a full varigated patina to make them look like brass.
These reproductions are finished in a rich brown patina, which has been augmented with touches of green. They are supplied pre-wired with harp and finial. The two and three-light models come with a cluster body style, and are made to support a heavy leaded shade. Height measurements are from base of lamp to top of harp. Medium screw base socket, 115 volts.
